Our Approach

Learning, led by your child.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework — delivered through play, exploration and warm relationships.

The EYFS framework

Play, exploration and positive relationships — every single day.

At Morning Glory Pre-School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children's learning and development through play, exploration and positive relationships.

Our activities are carefully planned around each child's interests and stage of development, helping them build confidence, independence, communication, social skills, and early literacy and maths skills in a fun, nurturing environment.

Through indoor and outdoor learning experiences, children are encouraged to become curious, creative and confident learners while being supported by our qualified early years team.

Play-Based Learning

Play-Based Learning

We believe children learn best through play. Our play-based approach encourages children to explore, investigate, create and develop important skills naturally through hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions. Through play, children build confidence, communication, independence, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Person System

Key Person System

Every child is assigned a dedicated key person who helps them feel safe, secure and supported during their time at pre-school. The key person builds a strong relationship with both the child and their family, helping to support each child's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.

Sharing Progress with Parents

Sharing Progress with Parents

We work closely in partnership with parents and carers to support every child's development. We use Tapestry to share observations, photos and learning updates, alongside regular conversations and parent meetings to discuss each child's progress and next steps.

Outdoor & Forest School

Outdoor & Forest School

Outdoor learning is an important part of our daily routine. Located next to a forest area in Leytonstone, we incorporate Forest School-inspired experiences to encourage curiosity, confidence, problem-solving, and a deeper connection with nature. These outdoor experiences help children develop independence, resilience, creativity and a love of exploration.
